Industrial Railways Company was established in 1956 to provide railroad track construction, maintenance and inspection services for rail served consumers, operators, shippers, ports and manufactures. Today, IRC has grown to include a full list of services including consulting, engineering, contracting, transloading and private switching operating in 9 Western States. Its staff is comprised of well rounded professionals with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the design and development of over $800MM in track related projects.
Role in the Project
Industrial Railway Company's primary responsibilities to the project is to study and assemble a catalog of rail freight business opportunities, identify and study rail related site constraints, assemble preliminary rail layouts, provide rail related CEQA support documents, study and compile facility and operating plans and provide general support to the development team on rail related issues as well as providing budgetary and scheduling information. Industrial Railways Company will also serve a pivotal role in the communication with the serving railroads and Port on rail related issues, discussions and negotiations.
